Rudy's Diary

Engineering officer Rudy Carlson kept a diary during his time aboard the USS Ashland I during World War II. Included is his account of major battles around the Philippines as well as Iwo Jima. Rudy's diary was tucked away in a trunk for decades and was recently discovered and transcribed.
