From the Author, "This is a book encapsulating the feelings that come with severe depression. It is a poetic retelling of events, vulnerably exposing my own personal struggle with depression and thoughts of suicide. The story is told through real situations from my life with a parallel story told through the imagery of an imagined journey to the sea. Out By Sea, Indefinitely begins as I am starting college. Although the situations depicted in the dorms will typically illicit feelings of togetherness and unity for most, my portrayal shows you a different perspective on what this time in life may look like for others. My wish is for this book to have a universal message. Anyone you know may be struggling in any situation. So, be kind to all. The subject matter is very heavy at times, yet the book comes from a place of hope. Anyone who battles with depression or thoughts of suicide, this book is written with hope for them. This book brings to light, the kind of fight that takes place for those who struggle daily with depression.
