He has counseled and prayed with victims families at Ground Zero following the 9/11 attacks in New York City, and he has served in a management capacity giving service to the victims of natural disasters all across America. Laws also served as the Pastor of several Salvation Army churches in the mid-western United States.Before his ministry years, Laws was a radio and television production specialist and served in law enforcement as a Deputy Sheriff.He has been married to his wife Susan for 52 years and, together they have raised five children. They have 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
