Many African immigrants in the United States normally grapple with various cross-cultural encounters, as others experience profound cultural problems. Many of the immigrants undergo so much cultural shock and struggle so much adapting to the US culture that they eventually succumb to moral instability. The immigrants, moreover, having been detached from the corporate lifestyle of the African community, live under little or no communal accountability. This book by Bishop Justus Musyoka is addressed to the African immigrants. Its purpose is to provide information to them that will hopefully enable them to have successful lives and enable couples to remain together in the USA, building strong families. The USA culture is compared to the African culture, highlighting positive and negative characteristics of each. The hope is that the immigrating Africans can adopt the positive features of the USA culture and avoid the negative ones, while at the same time retaining the positive features of their own African culture and abandoning the negative ones.
