When Francesca opens her mind to an entire world invisible to the human eyes, not only does she start seeing angels, but the terrifying demons that roam the earth as well. He backs away, raking a hand through his hair."Okay, can you not hear me? Why did you break into my apartment? What are you doing here?" My voice raises with each question as he continues to ignore me."Sorry, I'm not used to you directing your words at me." That's all he says as he goes back to rambling."Unbelievable! You break into my apartment and act like I'm the problem here?" I throw my hands up in frustration."Please, something is wrong, I need to figure this out!" His clipped words reveal agitation, but the tension appears to stem from worry rather than anger."You are crazy! I am calling the police!" I jump towards my cell phone by the sink, but he snatches it first."I don't understand how I am visible all of a sudden, and I can touch you..." He brings his hand up to my face, and gentle fingers stroke my cheek."Stop it!" I slap at his hand. "You won't tell me what's going on, and you are keeping me trapped here. What do you want from me?"My words must finally reach his ears because his expression softens as his green eyes pierce my own.He sighs, "I got so caught up in this, I didn't think about the fact that I scared you, didn't I?""What was your first clue?" An edge of irritation weaves through my words."I am so sorry. I promise, scaring you is the last thing I want to do!" He brings me into a hug, and the irritation slips away from me. My shoulders fall, relaxing from the warmth of these arms, but how can I find such comfort in a stranger?"You don't remember me at all?" He pulls back, releasing me from the hug."No, should I?" I remain bewildered by the complete turn in the scenario."No, no, you shouldn't." He shakes his head."But you know me?""Yes, very well..." He gives me a gentle smile. "And you can see me now!"A glimmer sparkles in his eyes."Why do you keep saying that? Why wouldn't I be able to see you?""I have known you since you were born. You can't imagine how exciting this is for me that you are talking to me like this!" He grabs my arms and squeezes them out of excitement."Are you on drugs?" I voice the only explanation I can think of for such weird behavior."Sorry, I am not used to human interaction.""Obviously...""I don't know how long this is going to last, so I guess I should explain before things go back to normal, and we lose this. I am your guardian angel."
