Haven't we all had numerous opportunities to be offended by what someone has said or done? I suspect you would be fibbing if you have NEVER had someone that made you feel hurt and maybe even surprised you by a comment or action. Maybe it was someone you trusted and felt safe with. Maybe you spoke to someone in confidence, only to discover it got "leaked" among your other acquaintances. It may even be something someone said or did that had nothing to do with you personally. We often hold on to the offense, either by always thinking about it or worse, stuffing it in and never dealing with it. By doing so, we aren't aware of what it is doing to our ministry and our walk with the Lord. So after many years in the ministry and with lots of occasions to be offended, I felt it was time to write a book on the Annoying Voice of Offense.
