My primary mission with this story is to bring attention to the plight of stray cats. In the process, I want to share a recipe for how anyone can do a lot with what little they may have to relieve cat illnesses or injuries - suffering - in order to make their lives more bearable. Also, it is meant to belie the idea that stray cats cannot be socialized and become house pets. To rephrase an old saw, you can teach an old - or young - cat new tricks.
