Mankind was only one community. But they differed later. Those with corrupt minds & those with vested interests, split people into various groups, each group rejoicing in its own belief. So leave them in their bewilderment for a time. They think that the wealth & sons God has given them is enough for them. Nay! They do not perceive things in their right perspectives. And had He willed, He would have guided all of them on the earth and succeeding generations would not have fought among each other, after clear Signs had come to them. But they chose to disagree, some believing and others rejecting.God created you from a single male and female and made you tribes and nations that you may know/acknowledge each other (not you despise each other). The most honourable among you is one who obeys Allah and is a righteous person. He has reserved the Hereafter for the righteous. It is God who prevails over all things. Wealth & children are only adornment of this life. The good deeds are best in the sight of your Lord for rewards and hope. The life on the earth is of fleeting pleasure, a temporary attraction, play and amusement. Woe to those who prefer this life. Women and sons, heaped-up treasures of gold and silver, branded horses and wealth of cattle and fertile land are attractive to people in this world. All these are the possessions of this world's life. After death one will realize that the luxury life that tempted him so much was not more than even an hour. They think that the wealth & children God has given is enough for them though it is a brief enjoyment of worldly life. Your rebellion is only against yourselves. If He so wills, He can replace you with another creation. And It is not difficult for Him.The mutual rivalry for piling up worldly wealth diverts (the greed for more & more distracted) you until you reach the graves. It is like the vegetation after rain when the greenery/growth is pleasing to the tiller. But later it turns dry and yellow becoming straw." O mankind, what is on the earth will perish one day. It is like the rain that falls down from the sky and the vegetation grows and becomes green. But within a short time, it becomes dry stubble and the wind blows away all. But you can't compel people to believe against their will. So let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from falsehood. You can't make the deaf to hear particularly when they don't understand. And you can't make the blind to see. No soul can believe unless Allah so wills. He will place doubts in those hearts who do not use reason. Whoever rejects evil and believes in God, has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that never breaks. Allah does not wrong mankind at all. It is they who wrong themselves. But when Allah wills punishment for a people, there can't be turning it back nor they will find any protector beside Him. Allah will not change the condition of a people unless they do not change themselves. If He so wills, He can destroy you and create people anew. And if He wills a penalty to any one of us, none can remove it. And if He wills, He can replace you with another creation. The entire mankind is one and God is your Lord. So obey Him alone. The Mercy of God is close to those who do good. And gives just rewards to those who believed and worked righteousness. He established you on the earth and provided you therein with means for the fulfilment of your life but you seldom give thanks.
