Josh leads a paranormal investigative team to a secluded house in the middle of nowhere in Baton Rouge, to investigate a possible demon possession of a young boy. Josh along with his team, Beth and Troy assist him on the investigation as they have done on plentiful others. They have an encounter with an old woman, who tries to discourage them away from the investigation. But they keep going.Sally Crawford a single mother of two, including the possessed young boy Austin, comes across as a concerned mother wanting so badly for the demon possessing her son to leave and free his souls from Satan's grip. She writes to Josh Robins asking for his assistance beforehand. The team soon realise that the concerned mother isn't really giving the whole story, after they conducted certain tests, but Sally uses a lot of excuses to deter the team away from the absolute truth. Yet Austin shows signs of demonic possession. Sally on the other hand has plans for the team.Israphel, Sally's only daughter shows no concern and displays an attitude the team find really inappropriate, and most of all extremely bitchy. Yet she plays her part by fooling the team in thinking that paranormal activity is real within the house. She is also hiding the truth from the investigators. The family worship a very malevolent demon (Belial) and does his bidding, without question. In fact, they get bloody satisfaction from carrying out the demon's requests. Israphel makes a visit to Pastor Martin's humble abode to deliver a present only his sinister mind could appreciate. The Pastor is the Crawford family's spiritual leader, along with other families within other parts of Baton Rouge also. His rituals appease Satan and his dark hordes greatly, and nothing can thrill the Pastor more than watching people suffer in torment. Josh does all he can to protect his friends from harm, he displays his concerns and always tries to find a logical answer when doing a paranormal investigation. Josh is pushed way beyond his limitations by the Crawford family, which in turn plants the seed for revenge. He also realises the true nature of the dark power and uses that to his advantage against his enemies. A young man named Dean Dickinson and his family become victim to the Crawford's and eventually the young boy is saved by the vengeful Josh Robins and does his bit to aid him in his thirst for revenge.
