Dylan's life is derailed at the tender age of three when he is orphaned by the untimely and violent deaths of his parents, Trevor and Grace. Even though he is taken in by his father's friend, Isiah, his wife, Chandra and daughter Nikki, the loss of his parents leaves him feeling isolated and abandoned. From the first day of preschool through the last day of high school, he has little desire to socialize or participate in extracurricular activities. His friends are few and far between.
