Psychological literary suspense stand-alone novel featuring a character developed from These Beans Have Too Much Salt. Once released from the children's psychiatric hospital where she was interned after a trauma which triggered a mental illness and stole her voice, Emmy is forced to return to her hometown and face old ghosts. In spite of her health concerns, Emmy is not without ressources. She seeks revenge, but her perpetrator is dead. She ressorts to addressing his son with a series of anonymous letters and phone calls destined to provoke he and other members of the KKK. As she uncovers cases of murder against African Americans, the plot thickens. She finds she has put herself and other innocent people in danger. Her friend, Skizzum, returns from her musical tour just in time to save Emmy from her mental crisis. Together, they lock in on Jeremy, but discover a man wrought with his own difficulties and looking for a way out. As each of the childhood friends struggle with their differences, one by one, the members of the local KKK are eliminated. Emmy begins to use her letter writing skills to write songs instead. Each of the characters find solutions to put the influence of the perpetrator and former cult leader to rest.
