Eleven-year-old Luke McCowan believes life would be great if he were one of the cool kids. He?d have the courage to talk to the cutest girl in school, fend off the school bully and overcome his fear of riding buses. His best friends, Reggie, Byron and Lou (Louise) wholeheartedly agree. Everything would be better if they were just different. Reggie wants to be basketball star like his dad, but doesn?t seem to have the ability. After deliberating over movie stars, musicians and athletes, their search for the perfect mix of talent, charisma and cool leads them to action-movie hero, Dino Dynamite. Their plan is to travel from Connecticut to Hollywood in search of their hero without anyone knowing they're gone. Their journey of self-discovery turns out to be even riskier when they get mixed up in the world?s biggest jewel heist ? and the mob, Feds and Russian agents are after them. While outwitting their pursuers using problem solving techniques learned from Dino Dynamite movies, paired with their own emerging talents, the kids discover something far more powerful than magic.
