Fragmented Verses: Poems

Fragmented verses by Dr. Tabassum Kashmiri was first published in 1991. During those days, Dr. Tabassum Kashmiri was working in Osaka University, Osaka in Japan as a professor of Urdu language & literature. There he met with a wonderful scholar Mr. Sandip Tagore who was equally good at English, Hindi and Urdu languages. Both professors started sitting together and utilized several memorable evenings while having conversations on literature and poetry. There they together began translating Dr. Tabassum Kashmiri's Urdu poems into English. It was no doubt a tough task but eventually they succeeded in competing this project. These poems are thought provoking, metaphoric and heart touching that depict a multicultural poetic articulation, broader vision and above all a meaningful emerging feeling which captures a quick attention of those who feel pain for others and want to see this planet full of positive human activity.
