The Magpie Way: The Great River

Magpie Max's poor results at Magpie School have left him full of self-doubt. His family has fallen apart, but he hopes to make things better. His sister has found a new home far from the city, and he takes the family there to join her. He also invites non magpies to join him, and they have talents that magpies lack. Their exploits cause a self- doubting Max to become the most famous leader in Magpie History.They settle in their new home, but Max is restless and soon begins another journey. The flock heads for the Great River where his sister hopes to find wisdom and knowledge.Max also has a question to which he seeks an answer. Are Humans good or bad? for he worries about the damage they do to Mother Nature's once perfect world.
